In a recent interview with Haus Of Wrestling, Joey Janela declared his intention to enforce a locker room ban for CM Punk until he watches all of the Rocky movies.
You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On how far Janela says he’ll go to keep Punk out of the locker room: “He hasn’t gotten back to me, I sent him a message on Instagram, I don’t know if he’s seen it. But, I’m 100%… at the upcoming shows, especially the Chicago dates, I will have security enforcement there. I have posters getting made right now to post in the locker room [that say] if you see this face, if you see this guy with the Pepsi tattoo on his arm, don’t let him in the door and if he gets in, get him the fuck out. I don’t play some bullshit, you gotta be some kind of special person to not see the fucking Rocky movies, okay? [laughs] You need to watch them for the motivation of your life’s existence.”
On what Punk needs to accomplish before the ban is lifted: “No, I just can’t believe somebody hasn’t watched the Rocky movies. It’s a shame, he’s a multi-millionaire, former many time world champion. He can’t spend two days watching every Rocky movie? He needs to have proof. I have a friend who owns a movie theater in Chicago, I will work out a deal where he has to watch every Rocky movie, including the Creed movies and the sixth Rocky movie that nobody remembers. [The Creed movies] are the best ones, he’s gotta watch them all in a row. That’s the only way he can come into the GCW locker room. I know he’s been doing the tours, he went to the WWE locker room and the IMPACT locker room. But you’re not gonna be able to get past anyone, you’re not gonna be able to talk to Yoya in the corner and say ‘I love your work Yoya’ because I will have you escorted off the premises. Sorry Punk, you can’t come in dude.”

In a recent interview with Comedy Store Wrestling, Rocky Romero responded to critics of the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship.
You can check out some highlights from the interview below:
On the nonsensical aspect of the controversy: “It just seems like everybody was complaining two years ago that there wasn’t a championship, there wasn’t a division.’Where’s the women? Where’s the representation?’ And now we’ve got two women’s championships, one that’s obviously being defended in Japan… I feel like we’re trying to give women that representation and give them a great place to show professional wrestling in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, so I don’t really understand where all the controversy is coming from.”
The United Wrestling Network (UWN) has announced that tonight’s Championship Wrestling TV tapings will be taking place at the Irvine Improv in Southern California.
You can check out the full announcement below:
United Wrestling Network will once again film its Championship Wrestling TV series at the Irvine Improv in Southern California on Tuesday 5/2. The following matches and talent are scheduled for the 5/2 event
UWN World Title Rematch: Danny Limelight vs. Jordan Clearwater
Danny Limelight made history at the Irvine Improv back in December when he defeated the “Golden Boy” for the World Title. Limelight has been a fighting champion, but will have the fight of his life on 5/2. Clearwater has invoked his rematch clause, and is looking to regain the gold. There will be nowhere to run, as this is a Lumberjack Match. The Ring will be surrounded by UWN stars who will throw the competitors back into the ring if they try to escape, but it could turn into an all out brawl.
Peter Avalon vs. Bateman
Two of UWN’s most decorated former Champions go toe to toe in a personal grudge match. Bateman has been on a terror since turning his back on Avalon, and has viciously attacked everyone in his path. PPA is out to stop Bateman’s wrath once and for all.
UWN World Television Championship: Jack Banning vs. Papo Esco
UWN Heritage Championship: Kevin Martenson vs. Evan Daniels
UWN World Tag Team Championship: Bad Dude Tito & Che Cabrera vs. 24K
Zeda Zhang vs. Bryn Thorne
Beef Candy vs. The Institution
+ Slice Boogie, Sledge, Savanna Stone, EJ Sparks, R3 and more in action!
This is an all ages event. Tickets are available at improv.com/irvine
