Update On WWE SummerSlam Ticket Sales, Event Selling Very Well
WWE SummerSlam is coming to an NFL Stadium for the first time ever as Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV opens its doors to WWE later this year.
The event is selling so well that WWE has been continuing to open up new sections in the stadium to accommodate the demand. C135 and C112 have recently opened up to purchasers and the Ticketmaster listing shows a capacity of 41,661 as of this writing. There have been approximately 37,000 tickets sold for the event as of now just days after the sale started according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.
An interesting aspect of this event is that fans are able to relist their tickets on Ticketmaster for much higher than face value, which explains why there are so many tickets onsale through Ticketmaster right now. Only about 3000 tickets remain that have not yet been sold to anybody. This can be identified by the blue/pink listings on Ticketmaster. Most of these tickets are Platinum seats or floor seats, which fluctuate in price based on demand. Allegiant Stadium can hold up to 65,000 fans for football games, which can be expanded to 72,000 fans when utilizing the floor for additional seats.
It is unknown if WWE plans to expand the seating chart or rearrange the floor plan if the tickets end up selling out soon.
