WWE Money in the Bank goes down today at the O2 Arena in London, England and will air live on Peacock.
As we previously reported here on eWn, Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio will be the main event of the show. This has caused speculation about a potential Brock Lesnar appearance after the bout to set up his third match with Rhodes as the company has plans to do Rhodes vs. Lesnar III at SummerSlam in August.
Fightful Select reports that the main event was decided after SmackDown.
“Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio was announced as a main event of the show, which had fans asking what the status of that match is. When we asked WWE in an official capacity Friday morning, we weren’t given an answer. However others within WWE confirmed that there was some advertising that had went around promoting a “triple main event,” and was something they might do more of going forward after leaning out of it for a number of years. Another WWE source said “any more heat on Dominik Mysterio is a good thing” and felt like the line did that,” the report noted.
Fightful noted that at one point, there was a discussion that Men’s Money in the Bank would open, and the Bloodline would close the PPV.
