It was announced on Saturday that WWE has implemented modifications to the announce teams for RAW and SmackDown, effective from tonight’s Monday Night RAW broadcast.

For RAW, the commentary duo will consist of Michael Cole and Wade Barrett, who have been the voice of Friday nights over the past several months. Meanwhile, Michael Cole will continue his role on SmackDown, where he will be accompanied by Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves. Up until this alteration, Patrick and Graves had been the commentary team for RAW.

According to a report from PWInsider Elite, this transition was influenced by Endeavor and WWE’s broadcasting partners, who advocated for Michael Cole to take on the primary lead announcer role due to his extensive experience within the company.

The report further emphasized WWE’s trust in the abilities of both Cole and Graves, as they believe the duo can support Kevin Patrick, who remains highly regarded by the company. Regarding Kevin Patrick’s involvement, the reshuffle is not indicative of a demotion; rather, WWE views it as an opportunity for him to “acquire additional experience and cultivate the desired voice and atmosphere expected from their lead announcers.”
