Britt Baker, unfortunately, did not appear in this week’s AEW Dynamite episode due to sickness.
In place of her appearance, the former AEW Women’s Champion was initially scheduled to clash in a Women’s Title Eliminator match against Willow Nightingale. However, the match was canceled at the last moment.
Through a Twitter video, the D.M.D. revealed that she made a visit to the emergency room and received antibiotics, an IV, and a shot to treat a bout of strep throat.
The announcement came during Wednesday’s media call promoting AEW WrestleDream 2024, where Tony Khan reported that Baker had attended the nuptials of former AEW VP Megha Parekh before falling ill.
To conclude her video, Baker had a direct message for her critics.
