Seth Rollins’ role in Captain America: New World Order led to some speculation on his WWE future, but that’s not a concern to WWE as per a new Fightful Select report.

As we previously reported here on eWn, Rollins was likely to defeat AJ Styles and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at Night Of Champions 2023, but his role in Captain America: New World Order would make WWE reconsider putting the title on him.

However, new reports suggest that WWE higher-ups in the company have vehemently denied being hesitant about putting the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on Rollins.

One higher-up in WWE said, “I’m not saying who is going to win this weekend, but the idea that this is anything but a positive is an unrealistic way of thinking. I can’t speak to how those in charge a year ago would have felt, but now it’s seen as a positive, especially with Endeavor aboard. It also wasn’t a surprise. Colby (Lopez, Seth Rollins) is an exceptional talent and we expect these opportunities to come his way. We were made aware that the situation was happening, and he’s already done filming. We had planned out the sit-down interviews to make up for his absence and it’s full speed ahead.”

Additionally, Rollins was originally considered to head into WrestleMania 40 as champion, but now that The Visionary has Hollywood commitments, it remains to be seen what revised plans WWE may have in store for the title.

Nevertheless, WWE is reportedly beginning to be more supportive in terms of promoting and supporting talents in outside projects, similar to what Tony Khan’s AEW promotion has been doing since its inception.
