Update On Rusev’s WWE Contract Status

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer recently spoke on the contractual status of WWE Superstar Rusev. Reports indicate that Rusev is still working through contractual issues with the company and has not re-signed a new contract.
Rusev being included on recent PPV’s and TV shows are a direct result of how long he has left on his contract and not a result of disagreements being resolved. It was noted that there is ‘plenty of time’ left on his contract.
His wife, WWE superstar Lana, recently signed a new five year deal to remain with WWE which led to high expectations that Rusev would also resign. As most WWE fans know, the current ongoing storyline between these two has been a divorce angle which many speculate is due to the possibility that Rusev does indeed decide to leave.
