According to a report from Fightful Select, MJF is set to take time off to heal from the multiple injuries he’s been dealing with. As we reported earlier here on eWn, MJF was in an “incredible” amount of pain earlier this week. He’s also currently taking painkillers, which something he’s not a fan of.

MJF reportedly wanted to get to the conclusion of The Devil storyline before he took time off. While he could always decide to continue to work through the injuries, the expectation is that he will take some time away to recover.

As far as MJF’s AEW contract status is concerned, his AEW deal ends at the beginning of 2024. While some believe MJF re-signed with AEW nearly a year ago, it’s worth noting that there have been no talks between MJF and WWE.
