Fans should expect to see Cody Rhodes back on AEW TV in the near future.

Cody Rhodes has been missing from All Elite Wrestling television for several weeks but it appears that he’ll be back within the month. According to a report from Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Rhodes will return to TV this month and there are “big plans” for him upon his return.

Cody was last seen on the August 4th ‘Homecoming’ episode of Dynamite, where he lost in quick fashion to Malakai Black. After the bell, Cody went to take his boots off in the ring and looked to be sending a message about his future, but Black returned to the ring and hit him with a crutch in the back.

Malakai Black has been targeting other members of the Nightmare Family in Cody’s absence and has picked up victories over Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson in that time. This week, Black will face off with Cody’s brother, Dustin Rhodes, on AEW Dynamite; a promo for their match can be seen below:

Black recently spoke about his love of theatrics and how much of an influence he has on his character in All Elite Wrestling, explaining that his “input is almost 100 percent.” You can read his comments about collaborating with Tony Khan, as well as his hopes that he’ll be able to help the younger stars grow at this link.

Cody Rhodes, while absent from TV, did take part in a media call prior to the bout with Black and talked about how talented the former Bray Wyatt was, adding that he could fit in anywhere. Read his full response at this link.
