CM Punk faced some travel issues in London due to AEW not providing a ride from Heathrow Airport ahead of All In 2023, and he wasn’t the only one according to a report from PW Torch.
As we previously reported here on eWn, there was no car service in the morning the day before AEW All In 2023, which led to Punk taking a train and asking fans for help getting to Wembley Stadium.
According to the report, none of the AEW talent was picked up at the airport.
It is typical for WWE to pick talent up at the airport when they head for international tours, and NJPW also follows a similar practice for non-Japan-based talent when they arrive in Japan for shows.
However, since AEW did not arrange a pickup service, wrestlers had to arrange their own rides via Uber, taxi, or train.
This was one of a number of small things that led to increased stress and delays for the performers in terms of getting rested and ready for AEW All In 2023.
It was noted that talents who hadn’t been part of WWE’s international travel process didn’t have much difficulty, as they didn’t have the same expectations with regard to airport pickup service.
In other news, AEW announced on Tuesday that Adam Cole will address his AEW All In 2023 loss to MJF on this week’s edition of Dynamite.
Cole failed to dethrone AEW World Champion MJF in the main event of All In 2023 at Wembley Stadium.
