AEW terminated CM Punk’s contract with immediate effect on Saturday, but Ace Steel still appears to be with the company.

Punk’s firing from AEW following his infamous backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In 2023 has been the talk of the town, and there has been speculation about Steel’s status following the termination of Punk’s contract.

Steel was involved in the backstage brawl between Punk and The Elite following the AEW All Out 2022 pay-per-view event and was released afterward. He returned earlier this year in a remote work capacity when Punk made his AEW return on the premiere of Collision.

According to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio, it was revealed that Steel is believed to be still under contract with AEW. He was involved in the AEW creative, focusing largely on Punk’s role on Collision.

Steel’s contract with AEW reportedly expires in the fall of 2024.
