The Undertaker is no stranger to big matches, and when the legendary WWE superstar and IGN collaborated on a recent video for WWE 2K Battlegrounds, Undertaker responded to a question about one match that we never got to see.
During his segment of reading off comments, Undertaker was asked about a potential match with Sting when the superstar came to WWE. Unfortunately for fans, it looks like no match would have ever occurred, as Undertaker noted that too much time had gone by.
“You know, I get that a lot,” he said (transcription via Post Wrestling’s Andrew Thompson). “Sting stayed down in WCW for so long and then you know, he went somewhere else and that window kind of closed and I know he kind of showed up at the end. The way people see that, it looks much better on paper than it actually would’ve been. It’s one of those matches that people will talk about forever.”
