Uncertainty Surrounds The Rock’s WWE WrestleMania 41 Status

There was quite a surprise at WWE Bad Blood 2024, when none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson made an appearance following the match between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, aided by Jimmy Uso, and Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. This unexpected return has fueled endless speculation surrounding The Rock’s potential involvement at the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 41.

The Rock engaged in a tense encounter and countdown with Cody, Roman, and Jimmy before exiting the ring.

Ever since WrestleMania 40, rumors have been buzzing about a possible face-off between The Rock and Cody Rhodes, the current WWE Universal Champion, at WrestleMania 41. These rumors have only intensified following The Rock’s surprise turn at WWE Bad Blood 2024.

According to eWn’s previous report, The Rock was not set to fight in WrestleMania 41 next year. In fact, the Hollywood icon stated that he would be unable to participate in the event.

However, he later made a striking comment on Instagram, boldly advising, “Don’t believe any of that bull****.”

Earlier this week, word got out that the WWE creative team is assuming that The Rock will not participate in WrestleMania 41.

A recently-shared update from Fightful paints a similar picture, suggesting that while some folks within WWE are skeptical, others anticipate that The Rock will not be gracing WrestleMania 41 with his presence.

The report also noted that this expectation is a “realistic notion”, while also acknowledging that things could change, as they did with The Rock’s surprise appearance at Bad Blood 2024.

The Rock’s appearance at the pay-per-view was reportedly meant for him to be seen on camera, not to advance any particular storyline.

It’s alleged that WWE was unaware of The Rock’s appearance until a week before the event. This sudden turn of events is why the match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk was the curtain raiser instead of the main event. The Rock was reportedly visible all day at the venue, as he arrived openly in his truck.

On top of these wrestling engagements, The Rock has a busy schedule in Hollywood. He recently wrapped up the shooting for a live-action version of Moana, reprising his role as Maui.

During the premiere of Moana 2, Cody Rhodes and The Rock “shot something”, through the details and release date remain under wraps.

Although he has a packed Hollywood agenda, WWE continues to be a priority for The Rock, reflected in his occasional appearances.
