UFC’s Henry Cejudo Retires After Fight, Shows Interest In WWE Appearance
UFC Fighter Henry Cejudo successfully defended his Bantamweight Title at UFC 249 this weekend and surprisingly announced he was retiring after the match.
Many fans seem to think this announcement is a ploy to get more money in the future as he has already teased that there is a possibility he will fight again.
Cejudo was asked if he was interested in making a WWE appearance during his post-fight interview now that he is retired and his response was, “I would love to make an appearance, but the stuff they do in WWE, s***, I would love to beat up Rey Mysterio. He can bend the knee too. Even Kurt Angle.”
It’s apparent that Cejudo isn’t really keeping up with WWE as Angle is both retired and released from WWE. Regardless, Cejudo revealed he has had talks with WWE before. In 2017, he had a trip planned to Orlando for a tryout but ultimately decided against it so he could focus on fighting.
