The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has recently solidified its partnership with the Indiana Sports Corporation with an announcement. Their joined venture will bring its three biggest stadium events to Indianapolis: including WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble.
Lucas Oil Stadium is scheduled to kick off this partnership by hosting the Royal Rumble on February 1, 2025. Moving forward, wrestling fans can look forward to the stadium hosting a two-night SummerSlam and a two-night WrestleMania.
The events’ timing is interesting to note. Royal Rumble and WrestleMania take place during the NBA season, while SummerSlam occurs during the NBA offseason.
Tyrese Haliburton of the NBA made his presence known at the WWE Fastlane press conference last year. Earlier in the day, the Indiana Pacers’ star acknowledged the WWE and the Indiana Sports Corporation partnership across social media.
In a tweet, Haliburton wrote, “Just hear me out @NBA.”
Fellow wrestling icon, Triple H, responded to Haliburton’s tweet, saying, “I hear you, @TyHaliburton22 …”.
