Tyler Rust has been released by WWE.
On August 6, another wave of WWE releases became public during the broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported the news.

Rust signed with WWE in December 2020. He debted that same day on WWE NXT and he was quickly paired with Malcom Bivens. On June 22, he formed Diamond Mine on WWE NXT alongside Bivens, Roderick Strong, and Hideki Suzuki. He last competed on the July 20 episode of NXT in a tag team match alongside Strong.
Before he signed with WWE, Rust, also Ryan as Ryan Taylor, competed for Championship Wrestling From Hollywood and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, among other promotions. He participated in the Ring of Honor Pure Championship Tournament in 2020, but he lost in the first round.
