At the recent MLW Battle Riot VII affair on Saturday evening, Alex Hammerstone marked his comeback to Major League Wrestling (MLW). He was brought into the spotlight by Cesar Duran, who lauded him as a cornerstone of the franchise.

Hammerstone expressed that his comeback wasn’t merely to garner applause from the audience. Instead, he rejoined to participate in the Battle Riot contest and recapture the MLW World Championship. His prior appearance in MLW was back in the year 2023 when he was defeated by Jacob Fatu.

In a tweet by MLW, they echoed the excitement: “HAMMERSTONE IS HERE!!! #MLWRiot is streaming NOW & FREE.”

Austin Aries, another familiar face, also reemerged in Major League Wrestling at the same MLW Battle Riot VII event. He impressed as part of the commentary squad, joining Joe Dombrowski.

Previously, Aries had shown his prowess in MLW in 2018 and 2019, with memorable bouts with ACH during the inaugural episode of MLW Fusion in 2018. Again, the excitement on Twitter was palpable: “Another unexpected face, as @joe_dombrowski introduces his new broadcast tag-team partner… @AustinAries! #MLWRiot.”
