Two NJPW Names Are Not Under Contract

Two names are currently not under contract with NJPW. 

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that El Desperado and Minoru Suzuki are working with the promotion without deals. 

At the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event, Desperado was part of the Spanish commentary team. At this same show, Suzuki teamed with Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara to take on Naito, Sting and Darby Allin.

“The reason El Desperado’s name pops up on a lot of indie shows is because he didn’t sign a contract with NJPW for this year. Desperado and Minoru Suzuki work NJPW, but are not under contract with the promotion,” Meltzer wrote.
