The former champs came in looking to pull off an upset and really forced a fast tempo against the champs. Both Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky showed that they have plenty left in the tank despite being veterans and the challengers largely dominated the opening 10 minutes.

However, the champions would battle back as FTR weren’t about to lose the belts without a fight. Sky would nearly win the belts for his team with a diving crossbody and several pinning combinations, but some interference from Tully Blanchard resulted in only a two count. Ultimately, Blanchard would be involved in the finish as he held down one of Sky’s legs so he couldn’t kick out.
