FOX’s streaming platform, Tubi, has recently shown an interest in expanding their range of content to include professional wrestling. According to a report by Fightful, Tubi is considering investing in this type of product, though precise details remain under wraps. Their aim appears to be in the development of a unique wrestling content rather than collaboration with an already established wrestling promotion.
In 2021, Tubi had made an effort to incorporate MLW (Major League Wrestling) into their service, but this initiative was unsuccessful. It was alleged by MLW that a Tubi executive was swayed by then-WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon into obstructing MLW from securing a Tuesday night slot, which led to the ending of the arrangement.
Consequently, a lawsuit was lodged by MLW against WWE, which was ultimately settled out of court.
