Trish Stratus Reveals Which Match Type She Wants To Wrestle In Before She Retires

Trish Stratus returned to WWE earlier this year and worked WWE WrestleMania 39, where she teamed up with Becky Lynch and Lita at the show. There, the trio defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai). 

Stratus has since turned heel and most recently worked the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. 

In a recent interview with Pat Laprade for TVA Sports, Stratus was asked what goals she has now. 

“Imprison me in a cage,” Stratus said. “I’ve never had a cage match! And it doesn’t matter what type of cage is. The one without a roof, a Hell in a Cell or an Elimination Chamber. There were so many things we weren’t allowed to do at the time. I remember being hit with a chair once and everyone was messing around. And I was like, my faith, can you just hit me with a chair! So now I want a cage.”

Stratus also commented on her decision to stay with WWE after Mania. 

“To be able to wrestle in Saudi Arabia, to be able to wrestle in a ladder match – Money in the Bank was my first ladder match – to be able to fight against Becky, Raquel (Rodriguez), Bayley. I’ve fought so hard to change perceptions for women’s wrestling. Now that these opportunities are possible, I don’t want to miss them as long as I can perform 100%,” she said. “And my lifestyle and my health allow me to do that.”
