Trish Stratus is a professional wrestler through and through, and can’t see why the term is banned in WWE.
WWE has avoided using the w-word in favor of calling their talent ‘Superstars’ but uses the word wrestler from time to time.
Speaking on the “After the Bell with Corey Graves” podcast about which women she’d like to see in the Hall of Fame, Stratus spoke about using the term “wrestler.” She said,
“I love Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler, but this is a wrestling….I don’t know why we don’t say wrestling for some reason. I don’t know why, because I’m a wrestler and we work for World Wrestling Entertainment. But yeah, I mean, I’d like to see, maybe a wrestler maybe get into the Hall of Fame next, maybe like Victoria would be great.”
Stratus was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013 while Wilson was inducted in 2019.
Keibler was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame earlier this year by Wilson and Mick Foley.
