AJ Styles has announced he will be squaring down with Naomichi Marufuji at the imminent NOAH Destination 2024 event. While speaking at a publicity event for the forthcoming show, Styles divulged the rationale behind the fight stating it is symbolic of the introduction of the new era under Triple H’s leadership at WWE. He voiced,
“In my opinion, this is a testament to the Triple H era and what WWE represents. It is not only me who’s stepping into the ring in Japan tomorrow night. IYO SKY is joining me in wrestle that evening. This just demonstrates the global vision Triple H is bringing to WWE, whether in NOAH or elsewhere.”
He proceeded, “Being given the chance to wrestle in such places is significant for all of us, and it reflects our collective readiness and capacity to collaborate to expand professional wrestling to the largest extent possible.”
Returning to Triple H, he used his Twitter platform to share the news that ‘WWE Speed’ is pulling in an average of 1,500,000 views per episode. He tweeted,
“#WWESpeed is pulling in a whopping average of 1.5 million views per episode on @X. 20 episodes in, and we’re just starting to warm up. Watch this space…”
