Could Tamyra Mensah-Stock follow in the footsteps of Kurt Angle as an Olympic gold medalist wrestler joining the ranks of WWE? It sounds like she’s interested, and so is Triple H.
For those unfamiliar, Tamyra Mensah-Stock won the gold medal in the women’s wrestling freestyle category at the Tokyo Olympics 2021. She is currently the ranked number one female wrestler in the world, and in a recent interview, she admitted that she has an interest in stepping inside a WWE ring.
WWE Executive Vice President Triple H caught wind of the interview and took to social media to inform Mensah-Stock that the door to WWE is always open for her:
“Congratulations on a history-making gold medal at the #TokyoOlympics! The door to @WWE is always open!! #TeamUSA @MensahTamStock,” Triple H said in a tweet.
If Mensah-Stock can make a smooth transition to professional wrestling, she could potentially help redefine the WWE women’s division for years to come.
