WWE’s Chief Creative Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WWE’s President, Nick Khan, embarked on a journey to London on the 25th of July. They were there to engage in discussions with the city’s Mayor, Sadiq Khan, the topic of which was the possibility of hosting a future WrestleMania event in the capital city of the United Kingdom.

In a recent conversation with ‘The Independent,’ Triple H elaborated on why he thought London would serve as the perfect backdrop for a grand event like WrestleMania. He pointed out that London has a large and faithful wrestling-following, something he has personally witnessed during his past 30 years of journeys to the city.

Beyond just being a home to passionate WWE fanatics, Triple H further noted the city’s global attractiveness. He felt that an event in London is bound to pull in wrestling enthusiasts from every corner of the world. The wrestling stalwart also reflected on London’s rich wrestling legacy, drawing attention to legendary wrestlers such as Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, William Regal, Adrian Street, and Johnny Saint who have walked the London wrestling circuit.

Honoring London and its WWE fans, Triple H said with enthusiasm, “Why London? Some of our greatest and best fans are here in London. I’ve been coming here for 30 years. They’re always incredible. We have a massive following here but I think it also opens up to a lot of the rest of the world given how many people travel in every single year for events we do all over the globe. This is just an opportunity for being in a different location, amazing fans but where the rest of the globe could possibly get your easier. So WWE is one of the true global brands and I think you should look forward to seeing us all over the world.”

He continued his praise, saying, “There’s always been a great history here, you know, going back to World of Sport and Big Daddy and Giant Haystacks, William Regal, Adrian Street, Johnny Saint – you name it. They’ve all come through here as part of the fabric of WWE runs deep in this region. So I’m excited to be here.”

Pending confirmation, the date of WrestleMania event in London stays under wraps. However, it is known that WrestleMania 41 is set to take place in Las Vegas, while Indianapolis is being considered for hosting a future WrestleMania.
