During the WWE event held at Netflix headquarters in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Triple H took some time to talk about Drew McIntyre’s forthcoming return to RAW, acknowledging that The Scottish Psychopath was eager to make his comeback.
In addition, the WWE CCO unveiled plans for Pat McAfee’s imminent full-time return to the WWE commentary team.
Here are some key moments from the press event:
When asked about the current environment in WWE, Triple H noted: “There’s nobody saying you can’t do that. There’s nobody stifling anyone. Everyone is collaborating with each other. There’s a sense that no idea is necessarily a bad one. Everyone’s just having a fantastic time doing this.”
In terms of fostering new talents, he elaborated: “As we build more and more personalities, it creates this possibility for talents to rotate in and out, meaning you’re not constantly relying on the same individuals each week to deliver the value, right?”
Expressing his thoughts on Drew McIntyre, he said: “He was champing at the bit to return. He was not hurt, nor injured. The thought was to give him a short break. And whether that entails spending quality time at home with your loved ones, or maybe working on a side project. Perhaps something in collaboration with Netflix. Whatever the case may be, our adaptability in adjusting things to keep them new and exciting, I believe, is a tremendous benefit for us. So, keep an eye out for more of such moves.”
Finally, referring to Pat McAfee he announced: “Spilling the beans a little prematurely here, Pat is indeed about to rejoin us, full-time on Monday Night Raw.”
