John Cena, the much-appreciated WWE superstar, stunned everyone at WWE Money In The Bank 2024 on Saturday night. He chose this pay-per-view event to make the unexpected announcement of his retirement from professional wrestling, to occur in 2025.

Following the show, there was a media gathering where Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE’s CCO, shared his thoughts on the possible induction of Cena into the WWE Hall of Fame.

The words of Triple H were strong, indicating the vast possibility of Cena’s Hall of Fame induction. He said, “One might rightly ask if a place in the Hall of Fame is reserved for John Cena. The answer is a definitive yes,” he began. “Some even suggest we create a unique Hall of Fame for him. In my view, John deserves to call his shot. He should be the one to decide when he’s ready for induction. With his busy schedule, the timing has to be right. The decision should be made when he, John Cena, feels it’s suitable.”

He further elaborated on the matter by saying, “Oftentimes, performers fancy creating some distance from their careers, to be able to relish a comeback moment when they can truly feel the impact of their legacy. The case for John Cena in the Hall of Fame is resolute, yes. But when this happens is a conversation I look forward to having with Cena. Regarding who should induct him, that’s an aspect of respect we usually discuss with the potential inductees. ‘Who do you want to introduce you?’ would be the starting question.”
