Triple H – ‘Cody Rhodes-Brock Lesnar Hand Shake Was Completely Unplanned’

The post-match sign of respect between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam 2023 was completely unplanned according to Triple H.

In the third encounter between the two men, Rhodes defeated Lesnar and shook hands with the former Universal Champion after the match.

During the post-SummerSlam 2023 press conference, Triple H spoke about the unprepared moment. He said,

“Completely unplanned, completely in the moment, and I just, for me, Brock Lesnar is such a unique athlete, human being, all those things, but he really, I don’t believe, gets the credit he deserves at being one of the all-time greats at this. Unbelievable athlete at the highest of levels, UFC at the highest of levels, you could make the argument and would be accurate, greatest combat athlete of all time, but just talking about sports entertainment, just this, my opinion, one of the greatest of all time.”

During the press conference, Rhodes also had praise for Lesnar, calling him a “unicorn” for being such a rare specimen of athlete in the ring.
