Trinity ‘Absolutely’ Wants To Face Mercedes Mone, Konnan Talks AEW Creative Roles

In a recent interview with “Ring The Belle,” Trinity (formerly Naomi) addressed her Impact Wrestling debut and discussed the possibility of a potential match with her former WWE tag team partner, Mercedes Mone (Sasha Banks). Trinity said,

“I’m here for it all. That is my dream, if the stars align and it happened, absolutely. Absolutely. I want to be a part of it and do everything that I can to continue to elevate this women’s division and put IMPACT even more so on the map so we all get the respect that we deserve.”

During a recent edition of his “Keepin’ It 100 podcast,” Konnan discussed Tony Khan’s busy schedule with AEW, ROH, football, and soccer.

Konnan suggested that Khan should delegate creative roles in AEW to people such as Jeff Jarrett and only serve as an editor for the shows. He said,

“There’s a lot of names out there, and have Jeff Jarrett run one show and have another person run another show, and then [Khan] edits it. Whoever is doing good numbers, you keep them there, and if not, put somebody else [in]. It’s mind-boggling to me that Tony has the time, energy, or even the creative makeup to make four shows pop, because that’s kind of what he has now, right? Plus pay-per-views, plus handling talent, plus working in football and soccer.”
