Wrestling legend Shawn Michaels has expressed immense excitement at the prospect of seeing Trick Williams excel in the main roster, with great hope that he will not merely blend in with the crowd at RAW or SmackDown.
In an exclusive interview with Sports Illustrated, the revered Michaels showered words of admiration on Williams, a past WWE NXT World Champion, and shared his expectations for Williams’ journey in the main roster. Michaels stated,
“Trick is destined for immense success. Collaborating with him every day is a wonderful experience, given his receptiveness. Despite being one of the most sought-after personalities in the entire industry, Trick remains a grounded individual constantly striving to evolve and improve himself. I hold immense respect for his attitude.
“Various social media platforms suggest that Trick is already prepared for the main roster. However, I believe Trick aspires to be more than just a name on the main roster–his goal is to be a prominent figure there. I’m truly impressed by his mature outlook and acumen. Working with Trick is a pleasure and I can’t wait to witness his next steps.”
Williams became a part of WWE NXT in 2021 and his accomplishments include holding the prestigious title of NXT World Champion and being a former NXT North American Champion.
Before this, Trick enjoyed a fruitful association with Carmelo Hayes who transitioned to WWE SmackDown following the WWE Draft of 2024.
