Trick Williams, the current NXT Champion, is ready to defend his title against all challengers, including those from TNA Wrestling.
Quartz-holding his second NXT Championship belt, Williams clinched the title from Ethan Page, during the inaugural episode of WWE NXT aired on The CW Chicago.
Speaking on the recent episode of “In The Kliq” podcast, Williams mentioned his openness to defend his title against TNA wrestlers, saying,
“It’s cool. All opponents are welcome. I’m not threatened by anybody who wants the opportunity [to] take a chance at this title… It makes for a better show. If it’s what the people want to see, then let’s make it happen.”
In 2024, WWE NXT entered a talent exchange partnership with TNA, bringing in talent such as Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, The Rascalz, and Rosemary for the growing brand.
In return, TNA has reciprocated by featuring NXT talent, including Wendy Choo, Sol Ruca, and the team of No Quarter Catch Crew in its iMPACT episodes and pay-per-views.
In the latest NXT episode, Ridge Holland overcame Andre Chase, thus earning the spot of next contender for Williams. The match also witnessed the conclusion of Chase U.
