In a recent episode of the “The Happy Hour” podcast, professional wrestler Trick Williams opened up about how his Trick Shot finishing move came to fruition. He recalled how the move originated following an intense match with Ilja Dragunov. He revealed,
“Truthfully, it all happened by accident. It was during the second encounter between Ilja Dragunov and myself. The heat of the battle was really intense. We were trading blows, he was taking shots at my face and mouth in an effort to inflict maximum pain. In my head, I knew I had to retaliate, to potentially hurt him. That’s when it hit me, ‘What if I strike my knee into his forehead?’
He went on to say, “In the blink of an eye, I launched myself at full speed. The impact caused him to do a backflip, his face bloodied. The reaction from the crowd was insane. I knew at that moment, this should be my new finish. Before this, I was known for the spinning Trick kick, but that encounter with Ilja Dragunov changed everything. A knee to the forehead felt like the perfect way to deal a devastating blow.”
Elsewhere, Tony D’Angelo expressed his interest in a potential collaboration between the D’Angelo Family and the Full Blooded Italians (FBI). In an interview with Sports Illustrated, ahead of the NXT Halloween Havoc pay-per-view event, he mentioned his intention to see their feud play out. He shared,
“I may not be in a position to speak on behalf of the company, but personally? I’d definitely want to see it happen. It would be amazing, given the rich history of FBI in the 2300 Arena. I think it would be a fantastic opportunity for the D’Angelo Family to join forces with the FBI. Who knows what Nunzio is up to these days. Perhaps a phone call is in order. I have contacts in common, so arranging something might not be out of the question.”
