Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling recently unveiled its behind-the-scenes team which includes professionals who have prior experience with AEW and WWE.
Timothy J. Walbert, who had an eight-year stint with WWE and AEW from 2019 to 2023, will be marshaling the troops as the director of the forthcoming event, “Forged in Excellence”. Walbert’s portfolio boasts directing significant events such as Wrestlemania.
Meanwhile, Kevin M. Sullivan will be assuming the mantle of handling on-screen branding and promotion. Sullivan’s professional history includes significant stops at WWE, AEW, and TNA.
Adding to the seasoned production team is Keith Mitchell, a veteran who has notably worked with WCW, AEW, and TNA. Mitchell is currently enjoying retirement since his exit from AEW in the final month of 2021.
On a separate note, the wrestling community has been informed by New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) that wrestler Yuya Uemura will be off the wrestling scene for a period of six months on account of a triceps tear.
Uemura was last seen in the ring in the G1 Climax 34 tournament on August 10, picking up the gloves against Yota Tsuji.
