As part of the ongoing #SpeakingOut movement, many British wrestlers have been accused of all manner of bad behavior outside the ring. Current NXT UK superstar Trent Seven is one of those men, and he issued a statement earlier today denying any wrongdoing. He states that the posts are defamation of character and that he will be “taking this matter further.”

Several other accused wrestlers have already moved to legal action regarding their accusers, and it is implied that the Mustache Mountain member will join them.

The assumptions in the claim against me are untrue and a defamation of character.

I will be taking this matter further.

The allegations made against Trent include the below story, which recounts a night in Orlando several years ago in which the wrestler buys drinks for underage women and cheats on his longtime partner:

Nervous as hell, but here I go. I contemplated keeping my name off this, but I know of several women with firsthand stories that are similar to this one.

This isn’t the only experience I’ve had, but the first I’m willing to share. #SpeakingOut pic.twitter.com/0w1sZ1nAdn

Seven’s tag team partner Tyler Bate has also been implicated in the movement alongside a number of UK stars and several domestic individuals. In the 48 hours since these allegations began to surface, several promotions have extracted David Starr from their rosters, AEW has sent Jimmy Havoc to a mental health facility, and WWE has fired Jack Galligher and promised to investigate other allegations.
