Trent Beretta recently disclosed that he underwent surgery on his neck. Beretta revealed this via a Twitter post on Thursday, stating that two screws from his neck fusion fractured and he had to have them replaced. His tweet reads,
“Quick little American neck surgery. Turns out I wrestled so intensely that two of the screws from my neck fusion broke. Very cool. Very tough. The screws have been replaced. Next up is my revenge.”
Subsequent to a storyline involving Orange Cassidy and a money wrench, Beretta was absent from AEW’s programming. We extend our sincerest wishes to Trent Beretta for an expediated and comprehensive recovery.
Meanwhile, Sammy Guevara has made his comeback to AEW/ROH. In the current week’s ROH TV episode on HonorClub, Guevara stepped up to assist Dustin Rhodes who came under attack from The Dark Order. Guevara has been off AEW/ROH TV since March due to a suspension linked to an infraction during his match with Jeff Hardy.
Additionally, there are updates on Leyla Hirsch’s situation. During her bout against Diamante at the 2024 ROH Death Before Dishonor event, she sustained an elbow dislocation. The injury happened when she performed a moonsault off a ladder. It is still unclear as to whether she will be absent from the ring for some time.
