In a recent episode of his podcast “What Happened When”, Tony Schiavone, a broadcaster for AEW, conveyed his impressions on “The Iron Claw,” a biographical film about the Von Erich family.

While Schiavone found much to enjoy in the film, he did voice some criticisms. His primary misgiving revolved around Dean Eisenberg’s depiction of wrestling legend Ric Flair.

Schiavone expressed, “I liked it. A couple of things I didn’t like, I think most of us did not like who portrayed Ric Flair and I don’t know if there is an actor out there who would’ve really captured Ric Flair.”

“The Iron Claw,” despite its flaws, garnered .2 million in overall box office revenues, recouping its initial budget of .9 million with a hefty profit.
