During a recent episode of Tony Schiavone’s podcast, “What Happened When”, the AEW narrator delved into the pivotal role QT Marshall plays in Tony Khan’s wrestling company.
For highlights from this engaging discussion, see below:
On QT Marshall’s significance to AEW, Schiavone had this to say, “QT has faced criticism over time, like all of us, right? But, he’s the unsung hero backstage. He isn’t the MVP that you see on your screens. He is exceptional. His understanding of wrestling surpasses almost anyone in the industry today.”
When asked about the moment he realized LA Parka was destined for stardom, Schiavone responded, “It took time to realise.. I worked with him again in MLW. I confess this— and I believe many would agree. I didn’t appreciate the luchadors back then as much as I do now, Rey [Mysterio] and Juventud being possible exceptions. Now, watching a match in Arena Mexico is actually on my bucket list… It’s amazing.”
