In a recent interview with the “SportsKeeda” podcast, pro wrestler Brody King opened up about the possibility of someday facing off against ex-WWE star Bobby Lashley, reportedly a new signee with AEW.
King admitted, “I haven’t had the chance to meet him or interact with him, but the anticipation of perhaps going head to head with him in the ring excites me. I’m always up for taking on intimidating challenges.”
In another interesting tidbit from the world of AEW, broadcaster Tony Schiavone took to his “What Happened When” podcast to talk about the conclusion of Bryan Danielson’s illustrious full-time wrestling career. He even went as far as to declare Danielson as the best wrestler ever.
Schiavone stated, “The single thought dominating my mind right now is my sheer fortune… I’ve shared with you before my sense of blessing, of luck… I consider myself extremely privileged to have seen Danielson’s likely final match, given his health issues. Is it unconscionable, considering I’ve observed luminaries like Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, to call Bryan Danielson the greatest ever? To me, he indeed stands unrivaled.”
Danielson’s reign came to an end when he was defeated by Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title at AEW WrestleDream 2024.
Lastly, on a recent episode of the “In The Kliq” podcast, AEW’s Powerhouse Hobbs gave insight into his high hopes for his wrestling career, citing his main ambition to revolutionize the industry.
Hobbs declared, “My personal ambition revolves around reshaping the business. How do I distinguish myself? I use the term ‘business’ because like Warren G, I aim for it all, so there’s no one individual goal for me. It boils down to how I will impact the industry, what unique angle I will introduce, how I will captivate fans, what emotional response I will invoke, and how can I contribute to the growth of this business.”
