AEW President Tony Khan was present at the media scrum following the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door event. He gave insights into various matters.

Khan, who often goes by “TK”, opened up about the possibility of All Elite Wrestling hosting a show in Puerto Rico.

Below are some key points from the scrum after the event:

On the topic of Wrestle Dynasty: “This will be an exhilarating experience. There is a huge week ahead both for Japan and for the wrestling world. The Tokyo Dome will be the home to Wrestle Kingdom and Wrestle Dynasty on January 4th and 5th. AEW and ROH are going to be part of the event. Also joining in will be CMLL, STARDOM, New Japan Pro Wrestling, which is quite thrilling. Tonight’s collaborative effort at Forbidden Door involved all these companies. We all will be heading towards Japan which makes the time very interesting. This will be a crucial week for AEW as we will also be ringing in the new year then. It is also the week when Dynamite is scheduled. But our focus will also be to offer our support to New Japan Pro Wrestling and facilitate the successful coming together of both companies along with our other global partners for the first-ever Wrestle Dynasty alongside Wrestle Kingdom. Incredible, to say the least.”

On the prospect of heading to Puerto Rico: “I strongly believe that Puerto Rico would be a great entry point for AEW. It is something that I would love, given that AEW has already made its mark in many countries and regions around the globe. By bringing AEW to Puerto Rico, we would be creating yet another impressive milestone in the journey of this global wrestling promotion, considering the country’s rich wrestling past. The territory has produced some of the world’s best wrestling stars. Many of our AEW top-tier stars, including Jon Moxley, have previously wrestled in Puerto Rico before joining our company. I believe that making our company debut in Puerto Rico would be another significant milestone for us, no doubt about it.”
