Eric Bischoff believes that Tony Khan’s social media behavior is causing harm to both his personal reputation and the AEW brand.

Noteworthy incidents in the past, such as Khan’s online feud with Jinder Mahal that resulted in Mahal receiving a WWE World Heavyweight title match, have led to raised eyebrows within the industry.

In late 2023, Khan stirred controversy when he called Triple H & Shawn Michaels “bald aholes” in the lead-up to the ‘Tuesday Night War’ between NXT and Dynamite, a battle that WWE ended up winning with ease.

Bischoff, during a recent episode of his “Wise Choices” podcast, talked about Khan’s penchant for using social media, often resulting in making news headlines. He stated,

“Promoting on social media isn’t problematic. I do it quite frequently. I did it just this afternoon to inform all of you that I’d be hosting a ‘Wise Choices’ episode. That’s perfectly fine. However, there’s a line that’s crossed when some of the things that Tony’s posting come across as glaringly conspicuous and feeble. It paints him in a weak light, and it reflects poorly on his company. It’s a sign of inadequate leadership and inexperience.”

Currently, Khan is preparing for AEW’s upcoming return to the UK with the event All In: London 2024, scheduled to happen on August 25 at Wembley Stadium.
