Basketball giant Shaquille O’Neal could soon be making a comeback to AEW with a bit of Shaq-Fu, if AEW company’s honcho Tony Khan has anything to say about it.
During the press conference post-AEW Revolution 2025, Tony Khan was quizzed on which superstar personality he’d like to rope in next for the promotion. His response was clear and to the point,
“Someone I hold in high esteem is Shaq. Shaq participated in AEW four years ago this week, right before the second Revolution, Revolution 2021. That was the time when Shaq graced AEW, and it’s been four years since that moment. He’s definitely on the list of prominent personalities we would gladly welcome back at AEW anytime.”
Expounding on this, Khan sweetened his commendation of Shaq by calling him “one of the most exceptional celebrities we’ve ever associated with,” underscoring Shaq’s reputation as a well-known figure in the athletic world.
In addition to his involvement with AEW, the basketball legend has also made a few appearances for WWE, notably as a competitor in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2016.
