Tony Khan recently expressed his enthusiasm for organizing more wrestling events at New York’s historic Hammerstein Ballroom, following the successful execution of the Ring of Honor Final Battle 2024.
This marked the inaugural event hosted by ROH at the iconic venue since early 2022, when Khan became the owner of the acclaimed promotion.
During a meet with the media, revolving around the ROH Final Battle, Khan conveyed his interest in organizing future ROH and AEW, events at the treasured location. In his words,
“I would love to come back for ROH and I’m excited to debut AEW here on TNT. It would be great to come here again for ROH and AEW. Today was my first time in this building and we’re going to be here all weekend. It’s safe to say we want to come back again.”
He added,
“This has been a tremendous experience with Ring of Honor at Hammerstein. I would love to come back here. It meant a lot to be here for this event. It was a great tradition for ROH and pro wrestling. It was great for us to come here for the first time and great to celebrate Final Battle here.”
Notably, the ROH Final Battle 2024 hosted six title matches, with the only title change seen in the ROH World Television Championship, which was won by Komander.
Fans are anticipating the upcoming AEW’s Collision, scheduled for this Saturday at the Ballroom. Additionally, AEW Dynamite will be taped on Sunday at the same location.
