AEW President Tony Khan has commented on Bryan Danielson’s recovery from surgery.

Danielson defeated Kazuchika Okada at the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door II pay-per-view event, where he suffered a broken arm. The initial belief was that he would be out of action for 6-8 weeks.

Because of the injury, he was removed from the Blood and Guts match between The Elite and the Blackpool Combat Club. Danielson underwent surgery for the injury last month.

Speaking to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Khan was asked about the status of Danielson.

“There is a little more clarity as to when Bryan Danielson will be back from his injury. I’m very excited to get Bryan back. I don’t want to put a timetable because it’s a challenging injury and a tough recovery, but I’m very confident Bryan will be back later this year.”
