Recounting the genesis of AEW, Khan revealed,

“Well, this thing started when I was at a party in Beverly Hills, visiting with a friend who happened to be the president of TBS and TNT at the time.”

Khan’s serendipitous encounter paved the way for a startup deal, one that may not have offered substantial financial rewards initially but provided a golden opportunity to establish what would soon become a formidable force in the world of professional wrestling.

Discussing how far his brainchild has come, TK hyped up AEW All In 2023 set to emanate from Wembley Stadium in London, England before attributing the phenomenal growth of All Elite Wrestling to the collective efforts of courageous wrestlers who took a chance on AEW and helped lay its foundation. He said,

“We have just done the biggest opening day ticket sales in the history of professional wrestling for our show, AEW All In London. We’ve already sold over 60,000 tickets, we actually sold over 60,000 tickets in the first day. And we’re over $8 million in ticket sales already with months to go at London, Wembley Stadium. So we’ve built one of the biggest brands in the world. And it all started from an idea and a bunch of wrestlers who took a chance on this and helped us get this thing launched from the ground up.”

Tony Khan then proceeded to hype his “huge announcement” on Dynamite this week, expected to be the announcement of AEW Collision.
