Tony Khan, President of AEW, asserts that the current timeline is a golden period for professional wrestling, expressing satisfaction that his organization is a significant part of it.
In a telecommunication meeting which took place prior to the AEW All Out 2024 pay-per-view event scheduled for Saturday night, Khan gave his insights on the present state of wrestling. His words were,
“It’s a boom period in wrestling. This is a golden age for the sport. This is a remarkable time to be involved in wrestling, and AEW plays a vital role in the wrestling dialogue happening today… When you consider this, I believe that the fan enthusiasm is at an unprecedented level.”
Recent years have witnessed both AEW and WWE enjoy unparalleled success, with records being shattered at their pay-per-view events.
Parallel to this, smaller federations like TNA Wrestling, GameChanger Wrestling (GCW), MLW, among others, have also witnessed their share of success.
The next pay-per-view event on the AEW calendar is the organization’s second yearly WrestleDream event. This event is planned for October 12 in Tacoma, Washington.
