Tony Khan Helped Choreograph The Blackjack Battle Royal At AEW Double Or Nothing 2023

Orange Cassidy retained the AEW International Championship against 20 other wrestlers in the Blackjack Battle Royal at the recent AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 pay-per-view event.

Fightful Select is reporting that AEW President Tony Khan was directly involved in determining the execution of the Blackjack Battle Royal. Since the inception of AEW, Khan has helped lay out nearly all the battle royals for the promotion.

The finish was settled on the eve of Double Or Nothing 2023 with input from both Orange Cassidy and Swerve Strickland.

The Blackjack Battle Royal has largely received positive reviews both internally and externally.

The majority of the competing wrestlers were not previously aware of their involvement in the match prior to the announcement, and AEW production had also considered a more traditional Casino Battle Royal before opting to run with the Blackjack Battle Royal instead.
