During a recent conversation on the “Rich Eisen Show” podcast, the President of AEW, Tony Khan, divulged the three key matches that he recommends for someone new to AEW.

The matches selected by Khan include Bryan Danielson clashing against MJF at the AEW Revolution 2023, Young Bucks going head-to-head with Kenny Omega & Hangman Page at AEW Revolution 2020, and the electrifying showdown between Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa in a Lights Out matchup.

Khan also ventured into the topic of a potential AEW and WWE crossover show during the conversation.

Notable excerpts from the podcast can be found below:

Talking about his top picks, Khan expressed, “Three must-watch matches in our roster that I highly recommend are plentiful. Amongst the top-tier is the Bryan Danielson-MJF Iron Man match at Revolution. The Young Bucks vs. Kenny Omega & Hangman Page bout at Revolution 2020 is certainly up there as well. In terms of bloody brawls and Lights Out matches, Dr. Britt Baker vs. Thunder Rosa from the St. Patrick’s Day Slam 2021 stands out. Honestly, selecting three is a tough task.”

When asked about honorable mentions, Khan said, “Sting’s retirement match, in my opinion, is the pinnacle moment, the greatest show that we’ve had here. That’s definitely near the top. The recent television match between MJF and Will Ospreay might be the best I’ve ever seen.”

On the speculative subject of an AEW X WWE super show, Khan said, “It would be fantastic if a crossover was possible. However, there are several logistical difficulties in professional wrestling that would make such an arrangement challenging.”
