During the AEW Worlds End 2024 press call, Tony Khan, President of AEW, faced questions about the duration of Dynamite and Collision for 2025 given the new agreement with Warner Bros. Discovery.

Khan confirmed that both shows would remain at two hours each starting the next year.

Highlights from the press call are provided below:

Regarding the continuation of AEW’s two-hour format, Khan said, “Indeed, that’s the aim – thank you for your question. We are set to proceed with two hours of Dynamite on Wednesdays and two hours of Collision on Saturdays. Occasionally, TBS and TNT extend our broadcast by several minutes, which can be fantastic during a highly anticipated main event or a big moment. Often, our partners have shown great flexibility, but generally, it’s around two hours, and that’s our plan going forward.”

Speaking about a potential women’s Continental Classic, Khan remarked, “I believe that our [women’s] division is thriving, and honestly, we’ve witnessed some of the best matches in AEW women’s wrestling history this year. Therefore, I certainly see the possibility of a thrilling Round Robin tournament. The schedule is quite demanding, and let’s face it, the women’s division has experienced a lot of injuries recently. Such a tournament is demanding. This year, Juice Robinson was hurt in the first week, and we consider ourselves lucky not to have any other severe injuries given the aggressive nature of the tournament.”

When discussing how this could potentially be a compelling tournament, Khan stated, “A women’s Continental Classic could potentially be an extremely thrilling event. Several of our top wrestlers in the women’s division have recently made a comeback from their injuries. If we maintain everyone’s health, this is certainly something I’m quite keen on. The tournament is very taxing and challenging, for a variety of reasons.”

Discussing the current standing of AEW’s women’s division, Khan affirmed, “Presently, the quality of women’s wrestling in AEW is at its peak, and we are set to showcase more outstanding matches and rivalries. We currently have an exceptional group, and I believe it’s the strongest it’s ever been. My hope is to keep growing from here. If we maintain a healthy roster and continue building, I truly believe a significant tournament like that would signal a substantial progression – a continuation of the fantastic work the women’s wrestlers in AEW are doing.”
