Tony Khan Claims AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II Had More PPV Buys Than The Previous Year

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II took place last night at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

During the post-show media scrum for AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II, AEW President Tony Khan announced that this year’s mega-crossover pay-per-view event had more buys than Forbidden Door 2022 and Double Or Nothing 2023.

While Khan did not provide an exact figure, last year’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view event had around 127,000 buys while Double Or Nothing 2023 had 140,000 buys this year.

AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door II had the biggest live gate in the history of AEW with $1.2 million and the third-highest wrestling gate in Canadian history.
