AEW’s leading figure, Tony Khan, conveyed his warm accolades to the Private Party duo after they triumphed in acquiring the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the recent episode of AEW Dynamite.
Against The Young Bucks, Zay and Quen grasped the championship title this week, dodging the possibility of their breakdown, which could have resulted if they had failed to secure the victory.
In reaction to this phenomenal victory, Tony Khan took to Twitter to express his congratulations. He lauded the double act for their title victory which, in his words, has been brewing ever since the duo became a part of AEW in 2019.
He tweeted, “Congratulations again and thank you to the new AEW World Tag Team Champions @ZayKassidy + @Marq_Quen Private Party! Tonight was over 5 years in the making! Tonight was an incredible night of @AEWonTV, and Private Party vs @youngbucks was a classic #AEWDynamite match once again!”
This shift in the championship title marks the termination of the Bucks’ latest tenure with the title. Matt and Nick Jackson are still the holders of records for having had the most title reigns (3) and for owning the title for the longest period (523 days).
